DoDo SMS Reminder Program

DoDo offers optional SMS reminders to help users stay accountable to tasks they have approved. DoDo SMS reminders are transactional notifications, not marketing messages.

  • SMS reminders are only sent for tasks that a user has explicitly approved, including tasks assigned by a partner.

How Users Opt In

  • Users opt in to SMS reminders by enabling the “SMS Task Reminders” setting in the DoDo mobile app.

  • SMS reminders are disabled by default.

  • Users must actively check this setting ON.

  • Before enabling, users are shown the following disclosure: “By enabling SMS reminders, you agree to receive automated task reminder text messages from DoDo. Message frequency varies depending on the tasks you schedule. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for support.”

  • This setting is available in the Profile section of the DoDo mobile app.

Messaging Practices

Program Purpose

DoDo sends transactional SMS reminders to help users follow through on tasks they have approved in the app (including tasks assigned by a partner and accepted by the user). DoDo does not send marketing or promotional text messages.

When Messages Are Sent

Messages are sent only when a scheduled reminder time occurs for an approved task. Users control reminder timing (e.g., 30 minutes before a task).

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on the number of tasks a user schedules. Most users receive 1–5 messages per week, but frequency may increase with more scheduled tasks.

User Control
  • SMS reminders are optional and disabled by default.
  • Users must actively enable SMS reminders in account settings.
  • Users can modify reminder timing or disable SMS at any time.

  • Task name and scheduled time

How to Opt Out of SMS Reminders

You can stop receiving DoDo SMS reminders at any time:

  • Reply STOP to any DoDo message to unsubscribe immediately.
  • Disable SMS reminders in your DoDo account settings.
  • Remove your phone number from your profile.

After you opt out, you will no longer receive SMS reminders unless you re-enable the feature.
